Caldwell Contracting Ltd. is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for all employees and subcontractors.  Critical to this success is recognizing that people are our most valuable asset and education and training are key components of achieving our goal of ZERO incidents. 

Our proactive safety program provides the tools necessary to help ensure everyone goes home safe at the end of each shift. 

• Safety meetings and daily tool box talks are held to review job procedures, safe work practices, hazards and controls and provides the opportunity for each crew member to address any areas of concern.

• A Field Level Risk Assessment is completed at the start of each shift and whenever there is a change in conditions to ensure everyone is aware of potential hazards in the area.

• Near Miss Reporting helps to identify hazards and implement controls before they become incidents.  This allows us to be proactive rather than reactive.

These processes together with other elements of our safety program will help us achieve “excellence” in health and safety performance.
